This site was created as an instructional media and teaching aid for Class 3 Social Studies teachers in Barbados who are teaching the concepts, skills and facts related to Tourism in Barbados. As you may already be aware, this component of the syllabus requires pupils to: define the term “tourist”; state at least five reasons why tourists come to Barbados; locate on a map of the world the main countries from which tourists come and so on. This site sets out each objective outlined in the Primary Social Studies Syllabus Class 3 related to tourism and provides materials and resources to complement and guide the teachers' pedagogical skill sets, while enhancing students' learning activities and experiences.
